Greetings and Salutations fellow traveling humans!
I've been asked to regale you with a bit about myself prior to jumping headfirst into tales of life, travel and the in-between moments...
So, here goes.
Your author of this hopefully, not too serious literary masterpiece, is a 42ish year old female with absolutely no work/ life balance.
I'm a mother to two giant man-children that make me super proud. I also claim my French bulldog, Waffles, as a child on everything, except my tax returns. She recently got a new puppy sister. She's thrilled.
Actually she's pretty ticked off about the whole situation, but we're adjusting. It's fine, we're fine.
Ryan = The Hubs. He's been putting a little extra pep in my step with his humor, a total devotion to his football team and his soup making abilities for approximately 19 years.
If you're looking for some unsolicited dating advice, find a small town German guy who's mom taught him how to make knoephla soup.
You're welcome.
Myself, I like to generate ideas, throw epic theme parties and sleep like it's my fricken job. It's one of my favorite pastimes and I recently stopped apologizing for it.
I'm a total disaster when it comes to keeping plants alive, I also passionately dislike pickles and hair washing days.
I love to help people start businesses and brainstorming my next business venture or vacation.
I also clearly enjoy traveling or we wouldn't be here...
I joined the Mode Travel Crew 6 years ago because I loved protein shakes and prosecco and so did Katie. We were two peas in a prosecco loving pod and the rest was history. I left my software career almost two years ago to pursue travel advising full time.
My favorite trips to plan are honeymoons and family vacations. I love curating ideas and activities to what interests my clients have. I'm a sucker for a pretty beach, but I think of myself as a pool girl. I love to listen to the ocean, and I am one of those that take the token feet in the water pic.
I have strict rules that you can't count a country or state as visited unless you left the airport. That said, I've crossed 39 of them off my list. Vermont and Arkansas - I'm coming for ya!
I have certain things I absolutely must travel with and after circling the globe a few times, I've only recently developed the ability to pack in a carry-on. I once took 11 pairs of shoes to Africa 😆 We'll delve into those secrets and more when we return
I'm off to Aruba next, so more on that in our next episode
Looking forward to talking all things Travel + Life with you
Muah,
Alicia
