It’s the holiday season! This is my favorite time of year. The days are getting colder, radio stations blast Christmas music, there are lights everywhere you look, and Hallmark releases all the Christmas movies! It truly is the most magical time of the year, and the Gaylord Hotels are here to sprinkle that Christmas magic.
The Gaylord Hotels are known as the must thing to visit during the holiday’s here in DC. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be in The Santa Claus movies, just spend a weekend there. You will be teleported right to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole! This is the perfect Christmas getaway before the we ring in the new year.
Spend an evening with Mrs. Claus as she tells of the classic story; Twas the Night Before Christmas, all while enjoying Santa’s favorite treat, homemade cookies and milk! After you have a jolly time with Mrs. Claus head over to, what I consider the main event, Gaylord’s musical adaptation of the Nativity called “The Greatest Story Stage Show”.
The Gaylord also has the most festive of dining options. You will completely forget you are in a hotel! After dinner, enjoy hot chocolate and eggnog in the Holiday Sweet Shoppe! Don’t forget to treat yourself to some of the most delicious desserts prepared by their in house chef. Then end your night with a family photo with the infamous man himself, Santa!
The Gaylord offers so much more such as ice skating, ice bumper cars, Snoopy Holiday scavenger hunt, or an ice sculpture tour featuring a beloved classic Christmas movie.
